Ranked in order of FIELDVISION Talent Evaluations, not speculated draft position.
Fernando Mendoza, Indiana | Pro Comp: Sam Bradford
Pocket passer with scrambling upside. Very accurate passes, both in and out of the pocket. Rarely throws an inaccurate pass when targeting receivers in the flat. Has frequently showcased ability to place the ball equally well on majority of route archetypes.
Not the greatest at identifying the blitz before the snap, leading to sacks. Also struggles to mislead defenders with his eyes to help open up options downfield.
Draft Projection - Top 5 | Evaluated Talent - Early Round 1 | Height - 6'5" | Weight - 225 LBS
Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss | Pro Comp: Baker Mayfield
Dual threat who can create something when there appears to be nothing. Very good zip on passes and can seemingly throw anywhere on the field, even when moving outside the pocket. Arguably the best deep ball accuracy in the class. Sneaky manipulator of eyes, can quickly fire into a tight window.
Older prospect, with little D1 starting experience, though incredible seasons with Ferris State. Shorter frame, may be an issue in the NFL. Sometimes dangerous with the ball, not being afraid to throw into closing windows.
Draft Projection - Early-Mid Day 2 | Evaluated Talent - Late Round 1 | Height - 6'1" | Weight - 200 LBS
Ty Simpson, Alabama | Pro Comp: Mitchell Trubisky
Pocket passer, with dual threat abilities. Near the top of the class in terms of reading defenses. Quick footwork on drop backs with an efficient throwing motion. Knows how to navigate the pocket fairly well.
Very inconsistent power on throws. Floats it when he should bullet it, and bullets it when he should float it. Already questionable accuracy gets noticably worse when on the move. Slender frame that may not hold up at the next level without progress, as well as ongoing injury concerns.
Draft Projection - Early-Mid Day 2 | Evaluated Talent - Early Day 2 | Height - 6'2" | Weight - 208 LBS
Garrett Nussmeier, LSU | Pro Comp: Tony Romo
Pocket passer, not a dual threat by any means. Incredible arm on a good day, can throw accurately downfield with ease. Layers passes between defenders in a position where only his receiver can catch it. Gritty, plays through hits.
Small frame, may struggle to hold up in the NFL. Showed signs of wear and tear in college, clearly being bothered from hits. Tends to stare at one receiver throughout a play. Gunslinger, throws when receiver is not open. Was benched due to combination of injury/performance late in Senior season.
Draft Projection - Mid-Late Day 2 | Evaluated Talent - Mid Day 2 | Height - 6'1" | Weight - 205 LBS
Carson Beck, Miami | Pro Comp: Sam Darnold
Dual threat player with impressive speed/accuracy combination. Good size and frame to fit his style of play. Wound up arm that can get down the field. Takes what the defense gives him. Reasonable footwork, could be better but is manageable. Clutch when it mattered this year for Miami.
Up and down games; will look great one week and proceed to turn the ball over multiple times the next game. Inconsistent tape over long college career at Georgia/Miami. Inconsistency on deep balls. Product of the system?
Draft Projection - Mid Day 2 | Evaluated Talent - Mid Day 2 | Height - 6'4" | Weight - 225 LBS
Jack Strand, MSU Moorhead | Pro Comp: Geno Smith
Pocket passer who can move the chains with his legs if needed. Huge frame and size, well above NFL average. Four years of starting D2 experience at Moorhead. Ridiculously strong arm, with the ability to control it. Can make throws anywhere on the field. Accuracy does not waiver under pressure.
Inefficient throwing motion. Footwork leaves a lot to be desired. Player seemingly speed walks backwards off snap, no real form. Debatable competition at the D2 level. Had a down junior season compared to sophomore year.
Draft Projection - Late Day 3/UDFA | Evaluated Talent - Early Day 3 | Height - 6'5" | Weight - 240 LBS
Luke Altmyer, Illinois | Pro Comp: Brock Purdy
Scrambler who can execute the read option and extend plays with ease. Multiple years of starting experience at Illinois. Completes all the easy throws when pressure is not in his face. Has a few 'wow' plays on tape. Rarely turns the ball over.
Body seems too slender to successfully continue his style of play at the next level without progress. Major accuracy concerns on all levels of the field. Seems to have hit his ceiling during final year at Illinois. Makes a few plays that make you question what exactly he was looking at.
Draft Projection - Mid-Late Day 3 | Evaluated Talent - Mid-Late Day 3 | Height - 6'2" | Weight - 205 LBS
Sawyer Robertson, Baylor | Pro Comp: Joe Flacco
Pocket passer with above average size. Can execute a bootleg in the league, run when all else fails. Threading needles with ease when in rhythm. Solid accuracy all across the field. Had explosive plays in a pass heavy Baylor offense.
Poor footwork; lazy and ugly to watch. Arm strength waivers, deep balls lose steam and forces open receivers to have to make a play on the ball. Accuracy becomes lackluster on the move, often skipping the dirt or being over the receivers head.
Draft Projection - Early - Mid Day 3 | Evaluated Talent - Mid-Late Day 3 | Height - 6'4" | Weight - 220 LBS
Cade Klubnik, Clemson | Pro Comp: Will Levis
Dual threat player with reasonable frame. Good enough throwing motion to get the ball out quickly. High caliber arm strength to get the ball downfield.
Four year starter, yet has taken steps backwards in a QB friendly system. Consistently inconsistent accuracy all around the field. Poor ability to read a defense in any sense, leading him to stare down a single receiver and force ill-advised throws. Mediocre career stats against quality teams. Slightly undersized
Draft Projection - Mid-Late Day 3 | Evaluated Talent - Late Day 3 | Height - 6'0" | Weight - 220 LBS
Jalon Daniels, Kansas | Pro Comp: Tim Tebow
Scrambler who can easily escape even the fastest defensive lineman. Willing to throw his shoulder and take a hit for extra yards. Throw accuracy doesn't waiver much on the run. Strong arm that can place the ball anywhere on the field.
Mediocre accuracy that has not improved significantly throughout college career. Has a severe case of happy feet, on the move as soon as the ball is snapped. On top of poor pocket presence, operates with a very slow and outdated style of footwork.
Draft Projection - Late Day 3/UDFA | Evaluated Talent - UDFA | Height - 6'0" | Weight - 220 LBS
